Privacy
Last updated: 10 August 2026 · Australia (lite notice for private beta)
CoverD helps community organisers collect and track group payments. This short notice explains what we collect and why during private beta.
What we collect
- Organiser accounts — name, email, password (stored hashed), optional phone, and payment settings you choose (e.g. Stripe Connect, PayID/bank details).
- Participants — name, mobile number, optional email, payment preference, and payment status for the group.
- Payments — amounts, status, and provider references (card payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers).
- Messages — SMS/email content we send for payment links and reminders, plus delivery status from our providers.
Why we use it
To run your group payment requests, send magic-link reminders (SMS-first, email as secondary when configured), confirm payments, and operate the service securely.
Who we share with
Service providers needed to run CoverD (hosting/database, Stripe for cards, SMS provider for Australia, optional SMTP for email). We do not sell personal information.
Organiser responsibility
If you add a parent/guardian mobile number, you confirm you have a lawful basis (including consent where required) to contact that number about the group’s payments.
Retention & your rights
We keep data while your account/groups are active and as needed for disputes or legal requirements. You can ask to access or correct your organiser account details, or request deletion where practicable, by contacting us (see below). Parents should ask the organiser first for participant details the organiser controls.
Contact
For privacy questions during beta, contact the CoverD operator who invited you, or use the contact channel provided with your invite.
